Is Eurocamp a cheap holiday?
Yes! in general, Eurocamp prices compare very favourably with other holiday companies, and there are always plenty of discount schemes available. Here are just some of the ways to save money:

How can I book Eurocamp for less?
We all want to get the best savings on our holidays, I’m no different. Many of our Eurocamp holidays have been booked through promotions, offers, discounts and more. Take a look for yourself by reading the reviews of our favourite campsites in France.
Early Booking Discounts
Book your holiday early to take advantage of lower rates, better availability and to find a cheap Eurocamp bargain. The pre-registration is open for 2025 already and the early bird offer gives savings up to 20% off most accommodation prices for most holiday dates.
Last-Minute Deals
If you’re flexible with your travel dates, last-minute deals can offer significant savings and offer you the chance to have affordable European camping holidays.
Book Off-Peak
If you can, book outside of peak UK holidays, if you can’t May half term is one of the cheapest weeks to book as it isn’t a holiday in many European countries. If you are restricted to the 6-week holidays then the last week of August tends to be the cheapest week to find Eurocamp discounts.
Longer stay discount
If you’re planning a long holiday you’ll get 5% Eurocamp discount for stays 11+nights and extra 10% for stays 21+nights.
Be flexible on dates
Different arrival and departure dates may have better prices with Eurocamp so try around with different dates on their website to see if you can shave some money off.
Eurocamp Loyalty discounts
If you’ve travelled with Eurocamp or ALfresco holidays in the past you can benefit from an additional loyalty discount on your Eurocamp holiday.
Single Parent Discount
Leave your partner/friends/parents behind, take the kids solo. If you are travelling as a single parent you’ll get certain discounts on your Eurocamp holiday. A short break discount of £25 is available on holidays of 3-6 nights. Whilst a 7 night stay can save £75 on holidays between between 30th June and 30th August and £50 on other dates.

By following me

Book on a foreign website
Depending on the school holidays of other countries, you’ll find cheaper holidays by booking with one of Eurocamp’s other domains. We tend to book through the German or Polish websites for cheaper accommodations but there are lots of other domains to try:https://www.eurocamp.co.uk/
https://www.eurocamp.ch/
https://www.eurocamp.fr/
https://www.eurocamp.de/
https://www.eurocamp.pl/
https://www.eurocamp.ie
Book Your Travel With Your Eurocamp holiday as a package
Generally Eurocamp will have special rates on the ferries and tunnel crossings. It’s worth taking a look when you book your holiday.
Don’t book the linen packages
I don’t find it that cost effective. If they made your bed with the linen I’d be more inclined to book it for convenience. But instead you pay a lot of money for some bags of linen sat on your bed. Realistically you could pack an extra case of linen on cheaper if you fly, buy it new in a shop for a similar price or just bring it in your car.
Are There Other Ways To Get Eurocamp discounts?

Yes! If you are an:

- If You are a parent of multiples and signed up to Twin trust
- H.O.G Member

- & Many more membership schemes
You are entitled to extra discounts with Eurocamp holidays.
Packing Tips to Cut Costs
Packing is often overlooked when it comes to saving money with Eurocamp, but it’s one of the ways you can really maximise your spending budget. Your luggage allowances will be vastly different depending on how you travel. If you are travelling via car, you’ll easily be able to save money by bringing extra things with you, but there are still ways to save while flying to your Eurocamp, too.
Here are some ways we like to “pack smart.”
Pack Multi-Purpose Clothing
Choosing lightweight, quick-dry outfits that can be mixed and matched will save a lot of luggage space, leaving you more room to bring other essentials. Depending on the time of year you travel, you might want to bring jumpers and jackets, but these can really take away from your luggage space. We like to layer up with thermal underlayers if we know it won’t be particularly warm when travelling. We also like to save space on towels by packing microfibre towels instead. When you have to pack bath towels and beach towels, you realise just how much space these take up in a suitcase.
Bring Your Own Essentials
Now that you’ve got a little extra space, you can pack some more essentials like a travel hand wash to clean your clothes, a reusable water bottle so you don’t spend £2 a time for airport water, a first aid kit (these are far cheaper in the UK than abroad – in many European countries basic medicine like paracetamol is only available in a pharmacy and not a supermarket and they’re costly),
Save money on Food & Drinks

Now that your suitcases are super slimmed, you’ll have plenty of space to bring cheaper snacks and drinks. Yes, many of these things (except bottles of squash; pack them if you want them) will still be available when you travel to Europe but don’t expect them to be cheap. If you are flying to a campsite, you’ll likely be restricted to using a campsite shop which can be very expensive. I also like to make sure I pack some Tupperware so the things I buy can be stored safely and reused instead of wasted.
Avoid Extra Luggage Fees
This is a no-brainer if you are flying. Really make sure you check your bags before you travel to ensure they are within weight and size limits. You have all seen the horror stories of people getting fined hundreds at check-in gates for oversized bags. Don’t feed into the airline bonuses; check, check, and check again. If you’re likely to go over, book another suitcase before you leave—it’ll be cheaper than the fees for oversized bags.
Entertainment Without Extra Costs
Exploring family attractions whilst on a Eurocamp holiday is a fun way to spend your time. If you’re travelling on a budget, you may need to find different ways to entertain your family. We often pack board games and card games like Dobble to play in the downtime to prevent us from spending money in campsite arcades and on expensive days out. We also take cards and puzzles out with us in the evening in the hopes that this will prevent the children from wanting to spend arcade money, although this rarely works, and sometimes we have to have a few pennies aside for the games machines.
Sports Equipment
If you’re planning to play tennis, golf, paddleboard or take part in any sports while you are away, you may consider bringing your own gear and saving on hiring costs. Whilst the fees are generally quite budget friendly – if you have the ability and the space, why not bring your own?

Save Money On Eurocamp Holidays While There
Eat In your Accommodation
Whilst it’s really tempting you utilise the on-site takeaway or explore the local restaurants, it really is a blessing, when you’re on a budget, to have your own kitchen in the mobile home. We save up all our exciting meals, all our easy meals and all our bbq’s for these holidays so it doesn’t feel like we are missing out. We also make sure to buy lots of local ingredients so that realisitically, are we getting anything different than what we’d get in a restaurant?
Make the most of free facilities
pools, parks, etc. The campsites generally have lots to do included. Pools, parks, exploring, beaches, forests, lakes, wild swimming, etc. There are tons of activities that don’t cost an arm and a leg and will stay in your family memories for ages.
Manage Your Currency
It’s really easy to look at 1 euro and think of it like a pound. in order to really pay attention to your budget it’s important to account for currency conversions and also charges on withdrawing in a foreign currency. We use Wise cards when visiting abroad and paying for low fee’s however there are many over banks/online banks who also offer this service. I also love that the transactions on my Wise card show up instantly as French payments tend to take longer to show from my other accounts. for an accurate view of the currency conversion we like to use XE.

Take Your own Bedding and baby kit
As I mentioned above, having your own bedding is much cheaper than paying for linen while you are on the campsite. If you are staying on a European campsite that isn’t a Eurocamp you may also get charged for borrowing baby equipment (free with Eurocamp).
Plan Your Daytrips meticulously
It’s easy to overspend on days out. Consider parking, fuel and toll costs especially. We like to use the Via Michelin website to figure out approximate toll and fuel costs, consider using toll free roads too – but obviously this will take longer.
Then you need to consider things like lunch out, stopping for drinks, potentially paying for toilets, etc. These seemingly budget friendly days out can easily add up.
Find a Lidl or an Aldi
Food shopping in France is blooming expensive, I know, I live here (it’s seemingly not as bad in other European campsites). Meat especially is very dear as well as out of season fruit and vegetables. Try to buy in season foods and have no-meat meals where possible to save money on your food shops. I’d also avoid doing the “big shop” on a campsite supermarket as these prices will be hiked so much higher than local supermarkets.
Keep a daily budget and stick to it
We try and stick to a daily budget of around 30e, sometimes we go over, some days we go under. If you are really on a budget it’s worth setting a spending limit and really watching your spending’s. Whilst it’s easy to overspend – you’ll still have an enjoyable time without spending all your money.
Benefits of booking with Eurocamp

There are some pretty big money saving bonus’s that you only get when booking with Eurocamp holidays. Firstly, Eurocamp often offers discounts on your ferry booking that you wouldn’t get when booking direct. I’m saying this as someone who gets Brittany ferries regularly – they can be blooming expensive. So whilst you might be saving money on your accommodation you might end up be spending more on your ferry.
Another advantage of booking through Eurocamp is that at most campsites; you can arrive any day and stay as long as you like (as long as it’s more than 2 nights). Many campsites, when booking direct only allow customers to arrive on certain arrival days and then they are stuck in rigid holiday lengths like 7 nights, 10 nights or 14 nights. With Eurocamp, you have a lot more flexibility. This means you can adapt your stay to work with cheaper transport options.

The 3rd bonus is the English speaking kids club. If you’re the kind of family who likes to give those kids a place to blow off steam while you steam at the spa you might want the benefit of an English speaking kids club. These are free to use, so there’s no expensive childcare costs whilst on holiday.
And not just the kids clubs that speak English. Eurocamp have an office in England which means it’s much easier for phoning with questions and queries and managing your bookings and special requests.
Is It Cheaper To Book With Eurocamp?
Not always. However, cheaper doesn’t always mean better. Depending on what you and your family are looking for out of your holiday, I advise looking around, comparing and figuring it out, we have a great post with many different campsite providers listed to help you with this.
This may seem time-consuming and, to be honest, a bit of a pain, but it’ll all be worth it in the end when you go. If you are struggling to “figure it out” Then don’t hesitate to contact me, or even ask in our Facebook group. Our group is full of experienced European campers who will be able to help with any of your questions.
Most Importantly, have a great time
I hope this budget guide helps you maximise your holiday spending. Most of all, I hope it shows you that you don’t have to earn megabux to have an enjoyable holiday abroad. Some of our favourite Eurocamp holidays have been when we’ve struggled the most financially. We often look back at our stays on La Yole and Ranc Davaine, when our finances were in tatters and think how did we even afford to holiday at the time, but we did, we survived and we even managed a couple of free/cheap days out at that too! Eurocamp really is a great way to have a budget friendly yet still incredibly enjoyable holiday. Let me know, in our Family Camping Europe facebook group how your holiday budget goes!
